The cove is beautiful and feels like a true Robinson Crusoe experience! You can easily reach the beach by kayak, and the clear water allows for great snorkeling to see fish and sea urchins. The tower provides a nice view when coming and going.
The beach is free to visit but hard to reach, with no nearby parking available. It's a spot reserved for those who love adventure, and the views are truly magnificent.
Corsica definitely lives up to its reputation, but it comes at a cost. The Sponsaglia tower offers a breathtaking view of the Bay of Palombaggia, the Cerbicale Islands, the Sardinian coast, the Boches de Bonifacio, the Lavezzi Islands, and the Gulf of Santa Manza. The trail begins at the free parking lot north of Rondinara Bay, winds around the pond, loops around a small hill, and then follows the coast before returning to the starting point. The base of the tower is a great spot for a picnic, even on windy days. The scenery is always stunning, whether the landscape is in bloom or not, making it a great destination year-round.
The beach is incredibly stunning, but it's quite remote and challenging to reach. The path is partially overgrown with thorny plants and other unfriendly local vegetation, so be sure to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and be prepared for a bit of an adventure. This beach may not be suitable for everyone.
The path to access the beach is very challenging and the view from the tower is not impressive at all.
