When we hear the word - the beach, in the head arises one established association - sea, sand and relax. But who says the sea has a monopoly on vacation? Often the lakes attract no less than the sea, and in some cases even more tourists than the seaside. Packer Reservoir can be attributed to this.

July is considered the hottest month on Packer Reservoir when the air temperature can reach 22.1°C and the water temperature up to 16.9°C. The coldest month is January when the air temperature can drop to 0.9°C and the water temperature up to -3.3°C.
The lake is truly a hidden gem in the region. Perfect for leisurely strolls and complete tranquility. Additionally, there are numerous alternative hiking paths in the vicinity. I make it a point to revisit the lake every couple of years to rediscover the evolving landscape... and to rejuvenate my spirits. The downside is that an increasing amount of the lakefront is restricted to property owners only. In my view, no more than 2-3% of the entire lake is open to the public, which is truly unfortunate. Moreover, many private properties have been neglected, etc. However, the most frustrating aspect is the presence of "no entry" signs or private property warnings (at the lake access) 😡!
